August will be our 2nd Annual Dog & Cat Photo/Art Contest

to benefit the Roice Hurst Humane Society   

 

Official Rules:
· Each photo or art can be no larger than 16 x 20 including mat and frame.  Photos and art don't have to be framed or matted, but need to be ready to hang on the wall.  Multiple entries are allowed as long as each one has a bag of food or kitty litter. 
· Entry fee will be one bag of kitty litter, or one bag of Purina Dog or Cat Food for every photo entered.  (Roice Hurst Humane Society prefers Purina so the brand changes don't mess up the regular diets of the pets.)  Please bring the food/cat litter when you bring in your photo.  We will have all of the food we collect displayed for the month. 
· Photos/Art will hang at Frame Depot from August 4th-31st, 2010. 
· Pictures need to be dropped off at Frame Depot (529 Bogart Lane, nest to Sam's Club) no later than August 3rd at 6pm. We will have an address tag for you to fill out to put on the back.
· The subject matter needs to be a pet.
· There will be a reception and judging at the First Friday Art Hop on August 7th from 1-4pm.  People's choice will run all month with the winner being announced September 1st. 
· We will have judges to help us pick the winners on August 7th.  There will be a photo division and an art division. 
· Prizes will be a gift certificate to Frame Depot.  There will be three winners in each division.  1st place is $100, 2nd place $50 and 3rd place $25.   People's choice will be the same prices. 
· Please note if photos are not picked up from Frame Depot by September 10th and other arrangements have not been made your photo will be donated to the Roice Hurst Humane Society to hang on their walls.
